ROSE FROM CONCRETE

Tupac Shakur considered by many to be one of the best rappers of all time writing "Rose From Concrete"the quote that's very personal and has so much meaning to it,showing where he came from and what he had gone through in order to get where he was,to reach out to and certain group of people and show them that you can make something out of nothing. Tupac had wrote this poem in order to represent something, I believe that he was trying to show that you can start off from the very bottom, and grow up to the top. To show that the world isn't always going to give you what you need in life.

This quote Consist of many different literary devices, one of them is imagery. Imagery is a visually descriptive or figurative language especially in a literary work. Tupacs quote has a lot of imagery involved in it because he was trying to be very descriptive with his words, to help people really understand where he was coming from. The words“ Rose From Concrete” really shows the point that Tupac is trying to make because we humans never see a rose that grows from the concrete it’s rare, but we always see a rose growing from soil that is watered and gets the right amount of sun it needs, so why didn’t Tupac make the title something more normal just like how the rose normally grows, because his life wasn’t the normal life.

Personification is another one of the literary devices that Tupac uses in his quote. Personification is the attribution of a personal nature or human characteristics to something nonhuman, or the representation of an abstract quality in human form. personification plays a really big role in tupacs quote because the "Rose From Concrete" describes what he had gone throw to get where he was, how his life was really hard to create something out of.

Tupac had wrote this quote trying to reach out to people that are going through what he had gone through. He wanted to show that you don't always have to be the average person to do something with your life.

  1. Remember to use the 4 part structure (Intro, What does he say? How does he say it? So What?). Also pay attention to syntax as many of your sentences should be divided into smaller statements that would make your ideas more clear.
